Gegenwelt
In the early light, I let the sea move through a long exposure until its edges dissolve. The waves blur into soft strokes of colour, revealing patterns that only time can show.
Watching the water stretch and settle, I begin to recognise the motion. It echoes the tides inside me—the places that rise too quickly, the tensions that twist and loosen like kelp, the depths that surface when I stay long enough to see them clearly. What once seemed sharp becomes gentle when given space.
These images are simply that: a record of learning to stay with movement until it teaches me something true.

Punturiero’s images have a very strong lyrical quality to them. It's very clear that she immersed herself in the spaces that she photographed and allowed herself to re envision these moments into something that extends beyond photography and into the considerations of painting. To that effect, there is a very painterly quality to these images.
